"My work is both a reflection of who I am (what is in my mind and how I process and interpret many of my ideas/concepts, the complexity of my nature) and is also ultimately a reflection of God’s work in my life.
Every piece I create is unique; there will never be another like it. I have come to appreciate the fact that not everyone will understand why my work may need to be so complex or conceptual in nature. They may not always be fully understood and will never be simply scenic paintings.
Every piece has a message or a story to tell and that is what is most important to me. If my work has nothing to say then it has no point and is simply incomplete in my mind.
Every piece is a personal piece unless commissioned by some one specifically. The fact of the matter is, at the heart of my work is a life long struggle to understand life and the societies within, it is also my fight to reconcile my ideals and my faith in God. Everything that comes is born from that premise. It is my journey of reaffirmation as a man, a father, a son, a husband, a friend, a Jamaican, a Christian; it chronicles my struggles with life, death, family, love, loss, politics, with the mores of an often rhetorical society, it portrays my hopes, dreams and my anguish and is centered on a life long journey of faith.
I am not a religious extremist, neither am I a religious fanatic, I am simply a practical Christian Artist who wishes to share an honest introspection of my interpretation of my world, my life and my faith. I can only hope that my work, my art, my message reaches those who need to receive it the most."
